The Audix SCX25A is a professional large-diaphragm studio condenser microphone with a patented capsule suspension system: the capsule is shock-mounted within a machined brass ring, fully isolated from the body and electronics. By minimizing acoustic reflections and diffractions it delivers a pure, open-air sound with exceptional detail. Its wide cardioid pattern lets the engineer blend the instrument or voice with the sound of the room. It is well suited to piano, guitar, vibes, woodwinds, brass, percussion, drums and orchestral sections.
- Wide cardioid polar pattern
- Handles SPLs in excess of 135 dB
