SOLUTIONS FOR
Event & Rental
Professional audio, lighting, and AV hire for live events, festivals, and corporate productions.
From intimate corporate gatherings to large-scale festivals, ProLab delivers the technical infrastructure that makes events possible. Our event and rental division stocks a comprehensive inventory of professional audio systems, stage lighting rigs, LED screens, trussing, and broadcast equipment — available for short-term hire or as part of a full production service with our experienced crew.
We handle the full technical production journey: design, logistics, installation, operation, and de-rig. Our engineers are equally at home configuring a line array for a 10,000-person concert as they are setting up a seamless hybrid webcast for a 200-seat conference. Broadcast and live streaming setups use broadcast-quality cameras, vision mixers, and encoding infrastructure for audiences watching worldwide.
With a large, well-maintained rental inventory and a team that has delivered hundreds of events across the UAE and GCC, ProLab is the event technical partner that production companies, agencies, and venues trust.

FAQS
Dry hire means renting audio, lighting, or video equipment without crew - the client or their own team is responsible for collection or delivery coordination, setup, operation, and return. Full production (or wet hire) includes the equipment plus a technical crew who handle delivery, rigging, installation, operation throughout the event, and de-rig. Dry hire suits clients with their own qualified technical team and a clear equipment list. Full production is appropriate when specialist expertise, crew, or a turnkey technical service is required. Some suppliers also offer a middle option - equipment delivery and setup only, with the client operating.
A live event audio system typically consists of a front-of-house (FOH) mixing console where the audio engineer balances all inputs during the event, a main speaker system (often line arrays for larger events, point-source tops with subwoofers for smaller ones), stage monitors or in-ear monitoring systems for performers, a stage box or digital snake carrying signals between the stage and FOH, and microphone packages covering vocals, instruments, and speech. Larger events add a separate monitor console, delay speaker stacks, an audio distribution system, and RF coordination for wireless microphones and in-ear monitors.
A professional event live stream requires: one or more cameras (fixed wide, handheld, or PTZ depending on coverage needed), a vision mixer or production switcher to cut between camera feeds and add graphics, a graphics system for lower thirds and overlays, audio feeds from the event mix, a capture or recording system for archive, a hardware or software encoder to compress the stream, and a stable internet connection with sufficient upload bandwidth (typically 5-20 Mbps depending on quality). The stream is pushed to a CDN (content delivery network) or streaming platform such as YouTube Live, Vimeo, or a private streaming server for global distribution.
Trussing is a structural framework - usually aluminium - used at events to hang lighting fixtures, speakers, LED screens, draping, and other equipment above the performance area. Truss systems are assembled from sections and lifted by motor hoists (chain motors) to working height. Safe rigging requires load calculations based on the total weight of equipment, the span of the truss, and the capacity of the suspension points. Rigging must be performed by competent riggers following applicable safety standards - in the UAE, this includes compliance with applicable civil and event safety regulations. Motor controllers allow multiple hoists to move simultaneously for level lifts, and secondary safety bonds are required on all suspended loads.
