Panasonic PT-LMZ420

PT-LMZ420 — 3LCD Laser Projector, WUXGA, 4,200 lm

The step-down from the LMZ460: same 4.2 kg laptop-sized body, same WUXGA panel, same optics, 400 lm less output — and, usefully, a couple of decibels quieter at 33 dB normal and 23 dB in Quiet. For smaller meeting rooms and classrooms where 4,200 lm is plenty, that quieter running is arguably worth more than the extra brightness. Like the rest of the series it uses the same mount and bracket as the lamp-based PT-LB426, so replacing an ageing lamp projector is a straight swap with no construction work, and Digital Zoom Extender covers the case where the existing mount sits further from the screen than the optical zoom reaches. No lens shift on this class, so mounting geometry needs planning up front.
